Thriveni Sainik Mining has changed the lives of the villagers at Pakri Barwadih, giving them a new lease of life that is free from the darkness of poverty and making them self-reliant.
The various initiatives are:
To provide sustainable livelihood, Thriveni Sainik have engaged the project affected people in all the mining activities. So far more than 1000 project affected persons have been employed directly under company role under various skill sets. Free conveyance has been provided to the employed villagers for coming to duty and return by staff bus and also for commuting within mines and village. These employed persons are also provided with breakfast in the morning, free mid-day meal and dinner at night. Each person has been provided with 2 sets of uniform dress and 1 set of PPE (Safety shoes, safety helmet and fluorescent jacket). They are also being provided with rain shoes, rain wear and Sweater for monsoon and winter season works.
Thriveni Apparels and Textiles private Limited, a garments manufacturing unit is set-up at Guruchatti, Barkagaon village for giving employment to the women folks of the village. Currently a batch of 52 women are employed, thus making them self-reliant and financially independent.
We have built roads, and made bridges for the villagers thus making inaccessibility gradually disappear. A temporary road was made via village Chamgada, Sonbarsa to Deoraikhurd to mines. This connected the mines area from the main Tandwa Barkagaon road. This not only supported the mining activity but also made convenient for villagers to approach the main road. A strong barricade was made to prevent frequently occurring accidents at hill area of Hazaribag-Tandwa state highway.

NTPC Ltd awarded first Prize in Safety Compliance and Outsourcing category at the 59th Annual Mines Safety Week Organized by Central Coalfields Limited.
NTPC’s Pakri Barwadih coal mining unit was awarded first prize in outsourcing category of Opencast Mines and safety compliance, during the safety summit organized by CCL at the 59th Mining Safety week. Thriveni Apparels and Textiles Private Limited Signs MoU with Govt of Jharkhand for setting up a garment and shoes manufacturing unit at Barkagaon village of Hazaribagh district.
The Groundbreaking Ceremony of the factory was felicitated by the Honorable Chief Minister of Jharkhand Shri Raghubar Das in Hotwar, Ranchi on 18th May, 2017. The project is likely to benefit 17 villages of Chepakalan, Dadikalan and Sinduvari panchayats of Barkagaon block. The project aims to give employment to 1000 people, especially the women of the village. This novel venture, in association with TSMPL will develop skill in garment and footwear among the women folks, making them employable in Thriveni Apparels and Textiles Private Limited.19th May, 2017
Thriveni Sainik Mining Private Limited completed its first dispatch of Coal from the NTPC Project.
The first rake of Coal from Pakri Barwadih coal mine was flagged off on 17th Feb 2017, in Jharkhand. The mine has block area of 46.46 square kilometer with a mine capacity of 15 million tons per annum. Thriveni and Sainik, Joint Venture of Thriveni earthmovers was appointed last year as the Mine Developer cum Operator for this Project for a period of 27 Years.18th Feb, 2017
Thriveni Sainik organizes free Eye Camp.
Free eye operation camp for Cataract patients organized by TSMPL in Dadikala Dispensary. A total of 260 Patients attended the camp and out of which 78 patients were detected with cataract, who were successfully operated at Loknayak Jaipraksh Narayan Eye Hospital.20th Jan, 2017
