Thriveni Sainik Mining has changed the lives of the villagers at Pakri Barwadih, giving them a new lease of life that is free from the darkness of poverty and making them self-reliant.

The various initiatives are:

EMPLOYMENT:

To provide sustainable livelihood, Thriveni Sainik have engaged the project affected people in all the mining activities. So far more than 1000 project affected persons have been employed directly under company role under various skill sets. Free conveyance has been provided to the employed villagers for coming to duty and return by staff bus and also for commuting within mines and village. These employed persons are also provided with breakfast in the morning, free mid-day meal and dinner at night. Each person has been provided with 2 sets of uniform dress and 1 set of PPE (Safety shoes, safety helmet and fluorescent jacket). They are also being provided with rain shoes, rain wear and Sweater for monsoon and winter season works.

WOMEN EMPOWERMENT:

Thriveni Apparels and Textiles private Limited, a garments manufacturing unit is set-up at Guruchatti, Barkagaon village for giving employment to the women folks of the village. Currently a batch of 52 women are employed, thus making them self-reliant and financially independent.

INFRASTRUCTURE DEVELOPMENT:

We have built roads, and made bridges for the villagers thus making inaccessibility gradually disappear. A temporary road was made via village Chamgada, Sonbarsa to Deoraikhurd to mines. This connected the mines area from the main Tandwa Barkagaon road. This not only supported the mining activity but also made convenient for villagers to approach the main road. A strong barricade was made to prevent frequently occurring accidents at hill area of Hazaribag-Tandwa state highway.

EMPATHIZING PEOPLE’S FAITH:

In order to promote the faith and spirituality of people, we have taken care of the maintenance and beautification of temples at different villages.

    Thriveni celebrates the new Coal Handling Plant at Pakri Barwadih. This 15 MTPA Mine end CHP successfully started trail operations. It is with In-pit Crushing and Conveying technology (Semi mobile IPCC), 6 km overland conveyor (with Horizontal/ vertical curves & mounted on sleepers), Stackers, Reclaimers with the provision to mixing different grade of coal and online transfer options to the Owner CHP.

    One of its kind in Indian coal mining industry and it will reduce the substantiate carbon footprint and environmental friendly. Thanks to our partners, suppliers and our client - NTPC for its continued support.
