Sustainability

We follow highest standards of safety for People, Machinery and Environment. The waste generated during mining are placed in the dumping ground to keep the Environment clean, adhering to the safety norms. Special precautions are taken during blasting and complete safety is ensured for all. A workshop has been set-up to carry out the maintenance and safety works of the machineries. In order to control the environment pollution, we have set-up pollution control devices. Various other Environmental safety measures are adopted i.e. dust suppression, water sprinkling, controlled blasting, plantation and rain water conservation, top soil conservation, environment monitoring and rain water harvesting.

  • 1000th Rake of Coal Dispatched at Pakri Barwadih.

    The 1000th rake of Coal from Pakri Barwadih Coal Mines was flagged off on 11th June, 2018 by Sh.Ravishankar Shukla, IAS, Dy. Commissioner Hazaribag, Sh.Anish Gupta, IPS, Superintendent of Police, Hazaribag and Sh.Aditya Ranjan, IAS, SDO, Hazaribag along with Sh.Partha Mazumder, GGM (PB, CB & KD), senior officials of NTPC and railway officials. With 1000th rake, the coal transportation reached the level of 3.8 Million Tonnes.   The coal produced from Pakri Barwadih is being supplied to different NTPC Stations. The first coal rake from Pakri Barwadih was dispatched on 16th February 2017. Yet another remarkable achievement by Thriveni Sainik.

    Thriveni Sainik celebration World Environment Day on 5th, June by planting trees. The motto being go-green and save the environment. All employees of Thriveni Sainik contributed immensely.

  • India’s largest Dump Truck Flagged Off at Pakri Barwadih

    Shri A.K.Bhalla, Secretary (Power); Shri Gurdeep Singh, CMD; Shri Anand Kumar Gupta, Director (Commercial); Shri S.Narendra, RED (ER-I) reviewed Pakri Barwadih  Coal Mining Projects on 26th May 2018. They visited the Mine Control Room and appreciated the systems and safety procedures being followed at Pakri Barwadih. Secretary (Power) flagged off the India's largest Dump Truck i.e 280 tonne Hitachi with combination of 36 Cubic Metre Leibherr Shovel.

  • Honourable Power Secretary and CMD NTPC visited Pakri Barwadih

    Honourable Power Secretary Shri Ajay Kumar Bhalla and Shri Gurdeep Singh CMD (Chairman & Managing Director) NTPC visited Pakri Barwadih Coal Mining Site of Thriveni Sainik. Thriveni Sainik, being appreciated as an MDO for using modern mining equipment and continuing the operations very smoothly.

  • 60th Annual Mines Safety Week Celebration 2017

    NTPC Pakri Barwadih Coal Mines awarded, first prize for standard of working in open cast outsourced category, a special prize winner in illumination and runners-up in illumination category. Employees from Thriveni Sainik Mining bagged various awards in different fields. They are Sri T. Durga Prasad Rao (Welder) first Prize, MD. Irshad  Khan (Pay Loader Operator) first Prize and MD. Tausif Ansari (Electrician) second Prize
