He serves as the Managing Director of Lloyds Metals and Energy Limited (LMEL)—the ultimate holding company—and holds directorships across various group entities.
Under his dynamic leadership, LMEL has achieved rapid growth in large-scale mining, sustainability initiatives, and strategic acquisitions, including the landmark acquisition of a ~79.82% stake in Thriveni Earthmovers.
A strong advocate of sustainable and socially responsible mining, Mr. Prabhakaran has pioneered innovative practices such as India’s first “green iron ore mine” at Surjagarh (Gadchiroli, Maharashtra), the electrification of mining fleets, and the introduction of slurry pipelines to reduce carbon emissions and logistics costs.
Through the Lloyds Infinite Foundation, he drives impactful CSR initiatives focused on tribal skill development, women empowerment, healthcare, and community infrastructure.
